Transfer paperwork help

What we help with

Ownership transfer in the UAE is handled by the traffic authority of each emirate (the RTA in Dubai), usually with an official vehicle test and insurance in place. Requirements depend on the emirate, the car and whether it is financed.

We help you work out which documents you need and prepare for each step. We are not the RTA or a government service centre, and official fees are paid to the authority.

Clear any finance — a bank lien must be released before transfer.

  2. 02

Official vehicle test where required, at an approved testing centre.

  3. 03

Insurance in the new owner's name.

  4. 04

Transfer of ownership through the traffic authority's channels, with both parties' documents.

FAQ

RTA Documentation Assistance questions

Do you submit transactions on my behalf?

Tell us about your case and we'll explain what we can help with. Official transactions are completed through the traffic authority's channels.

Should I inspect the car before the transfer?

Yes — a pre-purchase inspection before you pay is the best time to find problems.
